Public Works orders the total closure of the Ocoa-Cruce de Ocoa road for the construction of a provisional passage

They recommend using the Ocoa – Piedra Blanca (Bonao) connection as an alternative route, via the Duarte highway. Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Public Works and Communications informs that a total closure of traffic will be carried out at kilometer 7 of the Ocoa-Cruce de Ocoa highway, from today Saturday 18th at 11:00 p.m. until tomorrow Sunday 19th at 12:00 noon, due to the construction of a provisional passage as part of the works in the area. This action is planned and preventive, aimed at reducing risks and ensuring safe traffic conditions while definitive solutions are being developed in this section.

The transit of heavy vehicles with with cargo remains restricted.

The MOPC indicates that, although these measures involve adjustments, they are focused on a larger goal: to care for people and guarantee safer and more reliable infrastructures for everyone.
