Raquel Peña reaffirms her presidential aspiration: "I am not going to climb the little stairs of the National Palace alone"

The Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña, reaffirmed her intention to run for president by leading a political event in the province of San Cristóbal, where she presented what would be her campaign team in the area. During the event, Peña highlighted that his aspiration is not an individual project, but a joint commitment with the Dominican people.

“Esas escalinatas del Palacio Nacional no lo voy a cumplir sola. Yo necesito subirlas con todos ustedes, porque son los que me van a ayudar a hacer el mejor gobierno de la República Dominicana”,

expresó Peña.
This reaffirmation comes almost four months after, in an event held in Santiago, the vice president expressed for the first time her desire to become president. With this new step, Peña consolidates her political positioning for a possible presidential candidacy, insisting that her goal is to build a collective political project.
