RD will face Uruguay in October

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic National Team will face the Uruguay national team on October 10, 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The friendly match was made official by the Dominican Football Federation and the Uruguayan Football Association. It will be a very high-level commitment for the Dominican Republic, in which it can measure itself against the two-time world and Olympic champion celeste selection. The stadium and time are yet to be defined, but the match is already set between the FDF (RD) and the AUF. For the Dominican Selection, it will represent facing another World Cup team for consecutive FIFA dates after the match against Jordan, amid the difficulties in finding high-level rivals from which the most advantage can be gained.

The Dominican Republic team also takes advantage of these challenges to evaluate new players who join the selection process for upcoming commitments such as: Central American and Caribbean Sports Games Santo Domingo 2026, Concacaf Nations League 2026; events in which tickets to the Pan American Games Lima and Concacaf Gold Cup in 2027 will be sought respectively.

The management team leading the National Selections Commission of the FDF continues to make unprecedented efforts to achieve the sporting stability and solidity that the Dominican Republic National Team requires to compete at the highest level in the Concacaf zone.
