Santo Domingo. - This Wednesday, September 3rd, will be the arrival of the first Amazon cargo plane to the Dominican Republic from Las Américas International Airport (AILA), José Francisco Peña Gómez.
The aircraft will be received by the Director General of Customs, Eduardo “Yayo” Sanz Lovatón, in an event that will mark the beginning of direct operations of the world's leading e-commerce and logistics company in the country.
We recall that President Luis Abinader announced that Amazon will establish seven weekly flights to the Dominican Republic, with a total capacity of 770 metric tons, which will make the country the first Amazon Air hub in the Caribbean and the second in all of Latin America.
