Sánchez, Samaná. A young man identified as Víctor Chepard, a resident of the municipality of Sánchez, Samaná province, died early this Tuesday during an operation carried out by members of the Department of Criminal Investigations (DICRIM).
According to preliminary information, the incident occurred during a raid, where a confrontation took place between the young man and police officers, resulting in Chepard being seriously injured and subsequently deceased.
According to obtained versions, the DICRIM had been tracking the young man for several days with the aim of capturing him, because he was wanted by the authorities for his alleged involvement in various criminal acts that occurred in this municipality.
