The Dominican slugger went 2-for-4 with three RBIs, while Ernie Clement contributed two hits and scored twice, thus consolidating the fourth win in the last five games for Toronto. The Yankees had taken a 3-1 lead with home runs from Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Cody Bellinger, but the Blue Jays responded with RBI singles from Nathan Lukes and Clement before Guerrero's decisive hit against Jonathan Loáisiga. The encounter included two injuries: George Springer had to leave the game after a collision at third base, and Trent Grisham was replaced by Jasson Domínguez due to tightness in his left hamstring. Max Scherzer, in his second start after an injury, pitched five solid innings, allowing three hits and two runs with seven strikeouts and no walks. Brendon Little (4-1) was credited with the win despite allowing a run-scoring single by Giancarlo Stanton in the sixth. Mason Fluharty allowed Bellinger's solo home run in the eighth, but Chad Green and Jeff Hoffman (19th save) sealed the victory. For Toronto, Mexican Alejandro Kirk (3-0) and Jonathan Clase (2-1) also stood out. For New York, Jasson Domínguez went 2-3 with a run scored. The Blue Jays continue their climb up the standings while the Yankees lose ground in the final stretch towards the All-Star Game.
