Jerusalem.- The Israeli Army confirmed this Wednesday that it had bombed "a military target" in the area of the Syrian Presidential Palace in the capital, Damascus, in a wave of attacks that could last for days.
«A military target in the area of the Syrian regime's Presidential Palace in Damascus was attacked», detailed an Israeli military statement, shortly after the NGO Syrian Observatory for Human Rights denounced this same event.
About an hour earlier, for the second time this Wednesday, Israel had already bombed the Syrian regime's military headquarters, from where, according to the Army, "the commanders of the Syrian regime direct combat operations and deploy their forces in the Al-Suweida area".
This is the first attack against the Syrian capital since the beginning of strong clashes between Syrian government forces and factions of the Druze minority in the south of the country.

In a video of the moment of the attack, columns of gray smoke are seen covering the headquarters of the General Staff and the Umayyad Square, after a multiple bombing against several parts of the building that blows parts into the air. Since Monday, the Jewish State had already carried out several bombings against Damascus troops in the southern province of Al-Suweida, measures it justifies as an attempt to prevent the militarization of areas near its border and to defend the Druze community.
