The leader of the Toros del Este was officially announced as the third base and infielders coach, in addition to assuming the coordination of base running, functions that mark an important leap in his career within professional baseball. With 37 years, Estévez culminates a long stage in the Milwaukee organization, where he began as a manager in the Dominican Summer League before taking on roles as a manager at different levels of minor leagues, most recently in Class A. His appointment with the Nationals represents the culmination of a process that, according to himself, was full of dedication and perseverance.

"I am very grateful, it was a long process, a journey of basically 20 years in professional baseball," Estévez declared in conversation with Víctor Báez, press director of the Toros del Este. "It's news that has filled me and my family with joy, and I am truly extremely happy," he added.

In his first season as manager of the Toros del Este, Estévez has placed the La Romana team in a privileged position, clinging to second place and with great possibilities of advancing to the postseason. If they achieve it, it would be his second qualification in the LIDOM, after previously taking Escogido to the Round Robin after three years without achieving it. Estévez also expressed his gratitude to the Milwaukee Brewers organization, who gave him his first professional opportunity after being signed as a player by the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Toros del Este return to the field tonight, when they receive the Estrellas Orientales at 7:30 p.m. in the Francisco A. Micheli stadium in La Romana. Next Game
