'Michael', the expected biopic about Michael Jackson, will premiere on April 10 in Berlin

'Michael', the biopic about Michael Jackson directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Jaafar Jackson, the singer's nephew, will premiere on April 10 in Berlin, where a special multi-day event for fans will be held.

The 10th will be the premiere of a film that will arrive in theaters worldwide at the end of that month of April, Universal announced in a statement this Monday.

Part of the film's team will attend the premiere, which also features performers such as Kendrick Sampson, who plays Quincy Jones; Miles Teller as Jackson's lawyer and advisor, John Branca; Colman Domingo as the patriarch, Joe Jackson; Nia Long as his mother, Katherine Jackson; Jessica Sula as his sister, LaToya Jackson, or Kat Graham as Diana Ross.

An act that will be the first of a series of fan events that will last several days and of which details have not yet been announced. Colombian-American (his father is Jermaine Jackson and his mother is the Colombian Alejandra Oaziaza), Jaafar Jackson, 29 years old, makes his acting debut in this film and in the first trailer of the film his perfect transformation into his uncle could be seen. 'Michael' is "the big screen portrait of the life and legacy of one of the most influential artists the world has ever known," highlights Universal in the statement. The film shows from the discovery of Michael Jackson's talent as the leader of the Jackson Five to his conversion "into a visionary star whose creative ambition sparked an untiring desire to establish himself as the greatest icon in the entertainment industry." The screenplay was written by John Logan, three-time Oscar nominee for his work on 'Gladiator' (2000) 'The Aviator' (2004) and 'Hugo' (2011) and is produced by Graham King, winner of the statuette for 'The Departed' (2006).
