Bad Bunny understands that the Super Bowl is a platform for unión, says the NFL boss

The commissioner of the National Football League (NFL), Roger Goodell, has assured that the Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny is aware that the Super Bowl is a platform that promotes unity.

«He understands that the Super Bowl platform serves to unite people with their creativity and talent and that he must take advantage of this moment to achieve it. Other artists in the past have done it. Bad Bunny understands it and I think he will have a great performance», Goodell affirmed.

Goodell made these statements this Monday at a press conference prior to Super Bowl LX, which will be held next Sunday and in which Bad Bunny will lead the halftime show of the match between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara (California).

The Puerto Rican singer arrives at the Super Bowl after triumphing this past Sunday at the Grammys, where he won three awards, including Best Album of the Year for 'DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS', which made him the first artist, in the 68-year history of these awards, to triumph in this category with an album with songs in Spanish. A recognition that, according to Goodell, corroborated why he was chosen to appear in the NFL title game.

"Bad Bunny is one of the world's great artists. And that's one of the reasons he was chosen for this show. I think everyone wants to hear Bad Bunny," as demonstrated by his intervention at the Grammy gala, the executive stressed.

The NFL has defended the choice of the Puerto Rican for the Super Bowl halftime show in the face of criticism, including from the President of the United States, Donald Trump.

"I think it's a terrible choice. All he does is sow hatred. It's terrible," Trump said a couple of weeks ago, who will not attend the game.

In terms of security, due to the presence of Bad Bunny, Goodell indicated that it will not be different from that in events of this magnitude.

«Security is obviously one of the things we focus on the most, but I don't see any change in the preparations for the Super Bowl compared to others,» concluded the commissioner.
