Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader admitted this Monday that corruption on the border "is a reality", but recalled that a 30-year prison sentence was recently handed down against human trafficking and that his Government is "on top" of that (of corruption).
He showed support for those who commit that crime to "go to jail and be well imprisoned", when he mentioned that the military personnel stationed on the border have had their salary "tripled", their barracks improved and equipped with more specializations. You "We are more drastic (now) against those who commit those acts of corruption," said Abinader in his usual meeting with the media on Mondays at the National Palace. The ruler who is working on that all along the border and said that in the past "a blind eye was turned" to corruption in that part of the country.
