JIMANÍ. - To improve the efficiency and stability of the energy supply in the Independencia Province, Edesur Dominicana put into operation a power transformer in the Jimaní electrical substation and enabled two new electrical circuits in that demarcation.
Last June, Edesur undertook, before the authorities and community leaders of the Independencia province, the commitment to durably improve the deficient conditions of the energy service that the province historically suffered.

From that moment on, he carried out an intense program of activities that made it possible to put the transformation field and the new circuits into service in a shorter time than agreed.
The transformer has a capacity between 7.5 and 10 MVA, sufficient to adequately supply communities such as Jimani, El Limón, Vengan a Ver, among others, through the two new circuits enabled.
The new circuits, supplied from Jimani, will allow to reduce the load of the circuit that supplies, from the Las Damas power plant, to Duvergé and the surrounding communities. In this way, the new infrastructure also benefits those demarcations of the Independencia Province, avoiding interruptions due to overload of that circuit.
With the execution of the work, the quality of the electrical service in the Province is improved and the capacity to assume the growing residential and industrial energy demand is guaranteed, directly contributing to economic and social development in that border area.
With the refurbishment and expansion works of its distribution substations, Edesur significantly improves the quality of service in its concession area.
