Constanza. – In an act headed by President Luis Abinader and the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, the road that leads to the Aguas Blancas Waterfall in Constanza was inaugurated, with an investment of more than RD$ 484,925,661.
The work has a length of 11.93 kilometers and was executed by the Executive Committee of Infrastructure of Tourist Zones (CEIZTUR) of the Ministry of Tourism.
The road includes: • 683 square meters of sidewalks. • 300 linear meters of curbs. • 86.40 cubic meters of gutters. • Maintenance of the existing bridge. • Vertical and horizontal signage. • Storm drainage system with 20 manholes.
In addition, the Aguas Blancas Photographic Parador was built, with parking for vehicles, protective railings and luminaires, becoming a new attraction for visitors.
"Today we reaffirm our firm commitment to Jarabacoa and Constanza. We will continue to invest with honesty and transparency in the development of these communities," said Minister David Collado.
A unique natural attraction
The Aguas Blancas Waterfall, located in Valle Nuevo National Park, 20 kilometers from Constanza, is considered one of the highest waterfalls in the Caribbean with a drop of over 83 meters. Its natural environment makes it an ideal destination for lovers of adventure tourism and hiking.
With this work, the Government seeks to boost mountain tourism and revitalize the local economy, as it will facilitate the transport of goods, improve access to rural communities, and increase the flow of visitors to this emblematic destination.
