Zorrilla Ozuna justifies dismissals in Border Development to make way for PCR members

Santo Domingo. – The director of Border Development, Jorge Radhamés Zorrilla Ozuna, stated that the recent dismissals of employees in the institution seek to allow the incorporation of members of the Civic Renovator Party (PCR). The former Army chief explained that he will order the changes “that can be made” to insert the members of his party who “are waiting” since he was appointed to the General Directorate of Border.

“To the Civic Renovator Party, the president understood that he was to be assigned the General Directorate of Borders, and that's what we're doing, using prudence and tact to make the disconnections that can be made,” said Zorrilla Ozuna.

The official highlighted that this practice is not unusual in Dominican politics and described it as a "tradition" that is repeated every time there are changes in public institutions. He also asked for patience from the leaders of the PRM and other political forces on the border line, assuring that the processes will be carried out in a manner.
