Authorities do not rule out that the shooting at the Choliseo is related to Anuel AA's participation in the NBA Puerto Rico Celebrity Game.
Puerto Rico.- Puerto Rican authorities are keeping open the possibility that the shooting recorded on the morning of Friday, October 3, in front of the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum is linked to the participation of urban artist Anuel AA in the NBA Puerto Rico Celebrity Game 2025 event.
Inspector Edwin Figueroa, from the Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC) of San Juan, confirmed that among the hypotheses being considered, a possible link between the attack and the singer's presence at the NBA Puerto Rico Celebrity Game 2025, to be held in the same location, is not ruled out.

The attack was captured by security cameras, where six hooded individuals were observed, dressed in black and moving on small motorcycles, firing against the structure of the coliseum. The incident occurred at 1:54 in the morning, leaving no one injured. 156 bullet casings were recovered at the scene, including .40 caliber, 9 millimeters, and one rifle. The scene remains under police custody while investigations proceed. Figueroa recalled that in December 2019 a similar attack occurred in the same coliseum hours after a presentation where Anuel AA was invited. At that time, a large number of bullet casings of different calibers were also collected. Despite the incident, the organizers of the celebrity event confirmed that the activity scheduled for Friday night is still on. However, the press conference scheduled for the morning was canceled. The Puerto Rico Police and campus administrators have reinforced security measures, implementing additional patrols and reviewing protocols to ensure the development of the weekend's sporting and artistic events.
