The historic programE! News will close its television cycle on September 25, as confirmed this Thursday by specialized media such as Hollywood Reporter, Deadline and Variety. The company Versant, currently responsible for the channel E! and other signals of NBCUniversal, decided to cancel the nightly newscast after 34 years of uninterrupted broadcasts.

The program, which currently airs at 11:30 p.m., will continue with new episodes until its end. News brand will continue to be active on digital platforms. Deadline reported that video views on Instagram rose 49% and on TikTok 52% during the last year. In total, the brand reaches over 87 million followers through spaces like The Rundown on Snapchat, Hot Goss on Instagram, and RE!CAP on YouTube. Keltie Knight and Justin Sylvester serve as the current presenters ofE! News. The production had already been suspended in 2020, but returned after a two-year hiatus. This time, the closure will be permanent on television. Other programs from the group will remain on screen. Access Hollywood and Access Daily will continue from the studios.
