Dominican music and its exponents are about to climb another step internationally, after the announcement of the presentation of the veteran Puerto Rican merengue singer Elvis Crespo, who will also be recognized with the "Hall of Fame Award" at the Billboard Awards next Thursday, October 23, along with the legendary Toño Rosario, the urban artist La Insuperable and the new face of merengue, Ebenezer Guerra.
Dominicans Toño, La Insuperable, and Ebenezer are expected to perform alongside Crespo the typical merengue version of “Borrón y cuenta nueva”, one of the songs that make up his most recent album, “Poeta Herido”, which has over 4.7 million views on YouTube.

The announcement of the performance by Toño, La Insuperable and Ebenezer, along with the tribute to Elvis Crespo, was made this Tuesday by Billboard and Telemundo, where it was also stated that Crespo will be recognized for three decades of musical career that include his global hits "Suavemente" and "Tu sonrisa" which made him a cultural phenomenon.
