Washington,.- Agents from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) shot at two civilians this Thursday, leaving them injured in Portland in a residential area, according to local police.

The two people with the shots had to be sent to a local hospital and there are no details about their health status. For its part, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) published a statement on X where it confirmed that ICE agents were involved in the event, but it was later removed from the platform. Local authorities have not yet released details about the context of the shots, however, Portland Police Chief Bob Day asked the population to "remain calm." The event was recorded 24 hours after an ICE agent shot and killed Renee Good in Minneapolis, whose case has sparked a series of protests against the actions of federal agents and the policy of the President's Administration, Donald Trump, which has unleashed this type of altercation that has cost the lives of at least seven people in recent months.
