A police officer accidentally shot the owner of a house in Orange County (Florida, USA) on August 23, as seen in a body camera video released this Friday by local media.
In the recording, it is observed how two agents go to a house after receiving a report of attempted home invasion. After announcing that they are law enforcement, the owner begins to open the door and, suddenly, one of the police officers shoots towards the house.
The man inside begins to shout and ask why he is being shot at, reproaching the fact that he has been wounded. He had to be taken to a hospital, although he was discharged that same day.
An investigation has been opened into the responsible agent, identified as Alexis Paul, who has been relieved of his police duties and temporarily reassigned to administrative tasks. He had been working as a patrol officer since September 2022.You may be interested in: Police dismantle two clandestine Clerén factories in Cabral, Barahona
