Santo Domingo.- On the night of this Monday, following the alert measures announced by the Emergency Operations Center (COE), citizens are reporting heavy rains with thunderstorms and hail in the province of Puerto Plata.
The COE reported that it maintains seven provinces on yellow alert and twelve including the National District on green alert, due to the atmospheric conditions generated by a trough currently affecting the national territory.

According to the report from the National Institute of Meteorology (INDOMET), satellite and weather radar images show a significant development of cloud cover, which could cause moderate to heavy rainfall in different areas of the country.
The provinces under yellow alert are: San Juan, Santiago, Espaillat, La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, Monte Plata and Santo Domingo.
Meanwhile, the provinces on green alert are: Santo Domingo, Distrito Nacional, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, San Cristóbal, San José de Ocoa, Duarte, Sánchez Ramírez, Puerto Plata, María Trinidad Sánchez, Hermanas Mirabal, Elías Piña and Santiago Rodríguez.
