LA ROMANA.– The Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League (LIDOM), in conjunction with Juancito Sport, presented this Monday the Juancito Sport Most Valuable Player of the Round Robin award to Eloy Jiménez, of the Toros del Este, after winning the vote held by the national sports press through the weighted valuation system.

During the event, the player was awarded a trophy and a financial incentive in recognition of his outstanding performance in the semifinal stage of the championship dedicated to Don Juan Marichal. The award was presented by Shantal Disla, Brand Director of LIDOM, and Angelo Rodríguez, Marketing Manager of Juancito Sport. Jiménez was accompanied by Jorge Sturla, Executive Vice President of the Toros del Este, as well as by Major League Baseball player Teoscar Hernández, a member of the taurine organization. Rodríguez highlighted that "from Juancito Sport we firmly believe in supporting initiatives that conceive sport as a social and cultural responsibility, a tool that educates, unites generations and strengthens values on and off the field." The ceremony took place before the fourth game of the Final Series between the Toros del Este and the Leones del Escogido, held at the Francisco A. Micheli stadium, in La Romana. Jiménez led the voting by accumulating 247 points, the result of 54 votes, including 21 first-place votes. The starter participated in the 18 Round Robin games, being one of the most consistent offensive pieces of the taurine team. In the semifinal phase, the right-handed batter recorded a batting average of .278, an on-base percentage of .312, and slugging of .458, for an OPS of .770. In 77 plate appearances, he hit 20 hits, including 10 doubles and a home run, totaling 33 bases, as well as 16 RBIs and nine runs scored, a key performance in the Toros' qualification for the Final Series..
