Santiago.- The lifeless bodies of two men reported missing since December 31st were found buried in the backyard of a house, among the bushes of the Don Pedro community, north of Santiago, in an event that has generated consternation and keeps the authorities' investigations active.
The victims were identified as Reini Tomás Rodríguez Rojas and Rodolfo Martínez, 45 years old, who worked as collectors for a weekly loan route.
Both went out to carry out collection work and from that moment all contact with them was lost, which motivated an intense search by their families and security agencies.
The discovery occurred several days after the vehicle in which they were traveling was found abandoned, with traces of blood, on the North Ring Road, near the Fuente de Luz cemetery, which raised the alarm and initiated a wide-ranging search operation.
According to preliminary versions, the men would have been killed in the courtyard of a house in the aforementioned sector, allegedly by Haitian citizens.
Area residents told authorities that they heard several shots in the area in recent days, which is now part of the investigations.
