Caracas.– The Minister of Interior and number two of Chavismo, Diosdado Cabello, declared this Wednesday that the recent military operation executed by United States against Venezuela has left “so far” 100 people dead and a similar number of injured.

Cabello, speaking within the framework of his program broadcast by the Venezuelan state television channel (VTV), described the attack as "terrible" and dedicated a large part of his message to the deceased whom he considered "martyrs" of the American military operation carried out last Saturday, which culminated in the capture of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.

The official attributed the human losses to the actions of the US military force and stressed that it is an aggression against the country, in a context of strong political and diplomatic tensions that have unleashed reactions throughout the region.
