Construction worker shot to death inside his home in Honduras

Honduras. – A man was shot dead on the morning of Tuesday, February 24, inside a house in the 2 de Mayo neighborhood, in the city of Comayagua, in central Honduras. The victim was identified as Elvin Cerna, who in life was dedicated to masonry, according to preliminary information gathered at the scene. According to initial reports, unknown subjects entered the property and shot him repeatedly until they caused his death.

Following the armed attack, those responsible fled to an unknown destination, so that so far no arrests have been reported related to the crime.

The motive for the murder remains unclear and will be determined by the authorities within the framework of the investigations. National Police officers arrived at the scene to cordon off the area and collect evidence about the case. Personnel from Forensic Medicine and the Police Investigation Directorate (DPI) carried out the body removal and the collection of evidence to advance the investigative process.
