“The PLD is more than a party, it is a family forged in struggle, service and love for our people”, expressed former presidential candidate Gonzalo Castillo, in what many consider a message loaded with political symbolism and a possible anticipation of his intentions for 2028.
Through his social media, Castillo called for unity and respect among the members of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), highlighting the need to renew the hope of the Dominican people in times of challenges. "Today, more than ever, unity and respect among colleagues are the way to renew the hope of Dominicans. Let's keep working together, with humility and commitment", wrote the also former Minister of Public Works, in what has been interpreted by political analysts as a clear move to position himself again within the national political scene.
