The talented singer-songwriter and producer Joshua León surprises once again with the release of his new single “You Keep Killing Me”, part of his most recent EP titled INMORTAL, a work that marks a before and after in his artistic career.
This release is particularly special for Joshua, not only because it is his first song written in English, but also because he produced a large part of the project, surrounded by his friends and his girlfriend, which gave it a deeply personal meaning.
“It all started with a line: ‘Like a cat with nine lives, you kill me and I return.’ That phrase unlocked the concept and from there I wanted something groovy, with lots of textures. I expanded the arrangement around that idea,” explains Joshua.

Recorded at HitCentral Records (Miami), the song combines electronic pop, funk, and a touch of 70s guitar rock, achieving a modern sound with retro hues that reflect the artist's musical growth. The mixing, tuning, and final arrangements were supported by the renowned American studio, where Joshua also recorded part of the vocal sessions. "You Keep Killing Me" tells the story of someone trapped in a toxic relationship they can't escape, metaphorically dying over and over again. However, its catchy and vibrant rhythm contrasts with the dark background of the lyrics, creating a perfect balance between melancholy and danceable energy. "I wanted the arrangement to be so catchy that you almost don't notice the morbid background at first. It's my best work yet, because it shows real growth in how I combine many different ideas into a cohesive sound," says the artist. Influenced by his life in the United States and by references such as The Weeknd, Lady Gaga, and Teddy Swims, Joshua also incorporates retro references from the 80s, consolidating a unique style that stands out for its cinematic and emotional atmosphere. The launch, scheduled for October 31st, coincides with the perfect season for its concept: a story of death, resurrection, and desire that blends with the dark and vibrant aesthetic of Halloween. "You Keep Killing Me" promises to become one of the most impactful pieces in Joshua León's discography, marking his evolution towards a more mature, experimental, and emotionally honest stage. The artist is already preparing the official music video, which will arrive shortly after the premiere, and anticipates that his next musical phase will be even more ambitious: "more layers, more experimentation and greater dynamic contrasts," he assures.
