Man found dead in Santiago Oeste; family confirms he suffered from severe depression

Santiago Oeste.- A 32-year-old man was found dead by hanging in the Villa del Valle sector, of the Santiago Oeste municipal district, in an event that has generated shock and uncertainty among the residents of the area.

The victim was identified as Antonio Galván, a cockfighter and construction worker, whose body was found around 8:30 in the morning in the gallery of a neighbor's house, where, according to preliminary information, he had taken his own life.

Neighbors assured that in the previous days Galván showed a notable deterioration of his mental state.

Dahiani Hernández, a resident of the sector, stated that the man was disoriented, claimed to see visions, did not sleep, and expressed constant fear, alleging that they wanted to kill him.

In addition to these versions, suspicions expressed by community members are added, who consider that the deceased may have ingested some unknown substance. However, the authorities have not confirmed this hypothesis and are keeping the case under investigation.

From his side, Juan Galván, brother of the deceased, was emphatic in pointing out that Antonio was going through severe depression, stating that his behavior and expressions showed that he was not in full use of his mental faculties.

Family and neighbors described Antonio Galván as a quiet, hardworking, and conflict-free man, which is why his death has left a deep impact on the community.

Authorities removed the body and investigations continue to determine the exact circumstances of the event, while the Villa del Valle sector remains dismayed by the tragedy.
