New York.- The leader of the Fuerza del Pueblo (FP) party and mayoral candidate for Santo Domingo Norte (SDN), businessman Víctor Pavón, visited former President Leonel Fernández to discuss issues related to the municipality and the Solid Waste Law in the Dominican Republic.
In the meeting held at the Funglode offices in NY, Pavón and Leonel discussed issues regarding the weaknesses in the execution of the aforementioned law and the fiscal risks that exist due to a lack of fiscal equity and democratic integrity in it.
"The true spirit of that law does not seek to protect the environment as has been claimed, but rather has been used as a political instrument with the aim of benefiting with the substantial resources it generates the Mayoralties controlled by the government and its PRM party, in view of the 2028 elections," he highlighted.
