Sarodj pays tribute to Christmas with “La Navidad Pasada”

Santo Domingo. - The versatile urban pop singer, Sarodj, released her new single "La Navidad Pasada" (Last Christmas) today, an emotional and minimalist proposal that redefines the spirit of Christmas through the voice as the absolute protagonist. Composed by Sarodj herself, La Navidad Pasada is a Spanish version of the iconic song Last Christmas, by the renowned artist George Michael, one of the most globally known Christmas songs.

"It's a Spanish version of one of my favorite Christmas songs, and I felt very good about the result of my reinterpretation," expressed Sarodj, who decided to pay tribute to this classic from an intimate and contemporary perspective. The musical production was in charge of Nico Clínico, who opted for a completely a cappella format, breaking the mold within the Christmas genre. The song does not have traditional instrumentation: it is built solely with voices, bells, and finger snaps, achieving a warm, organic, and deeply emotional atmosphere that connects directly with the audience. The official music video was directed by DC Lovensky and recorded in a studio, opting for a sober and elegant aesthetic that highlights Sarodj's vocal performance and the honesty of the message. The minimalist staging perfectly accompanies the concept of the single, allowing emotion and voice to be the central axis of the audiovisual experience. With Last Christmas, Sarodj reaffirms his artistic versatility and his ability to reinvent great classics from a personal, sensitive, and risky proposal, offering the public an ideal song to reflect, feel, and reconnect during the December season.
