Two young people reported missing in Nagua

Two young residents of the municipality of Nagua have been missing since December 31, 2025, after leaving to work in the areas of Tamboril, Licey al Medio and Santiago. According to information provided by family members, the boss of both young people contacted them around 10:00 a.m. that same day. Subsequently, all contact was lost and their whereabouts have been unknown since then. The missing persons were identified as Rodolfo Martínez, known as “Villano”, who is seen with a black and yellow cap, and Jaime Rodríguez, who was wearing a red cap. Faced with a lack of communication, family members and the employer began the search, contacting several clients during the night of December 31st. These indicated that the young people never went to their businesses that day to collect the loan, which increased the concern.

This morning, January 1, 2026, the chief and family members moved to the Licey al Medio area, where the vehicle they were traveling in was found, which showed traces of blood. However, to date, both young people remain missing. The authorities were notified immediately and are already on the scene carrying out the corresponding investigation and initiating investigations to find the whereabouts of the young people. So far, no additional official information has been offered about the case. Family members and friends maintain hope that the situation will have a positive outcome. It is worth noting that Rodolfo Martínez (Villano) is a native of Navarrete, although he has resided in Nagua for several years.
