The institution celebrated the activity in commemoration of World NGO Day.
Santo Domingo. — The Community Engagement Department of the Vice-Rectorate for Outreach and Internationalization of the Universidad Iberoamericana, Unibe, held the 3rd Unibe Volunteer Fair, a space for encounter and social commitment that featured the participation of more than 28 foundations and non-profit organizations, within the framework of the commemoration of World NGO Day, celebrated every February 27.This edition of the fair is distinguished by the participation and leadership of the Unibe volunteers, who, together with the person in charge of Community Engagement, Francelis Beltré and the team of the Vice-Rector's Office, assumed a fundamental role in the planning, coordination and execution of the event, reaffirming the spirit of service, collaboration and social responsibility that characterizes the university community.
During the day, students and members of the academic community had the opportunity to interact directly with representatives from organizations such as: Don Bosco Foundation, Network of Boys and Girls with Don Bosco, Cuadernos X Un Mañana, BLUE, Action for the Well-being of Older Adults (ABAM), Ayudar Me Da Vida Foundation, Misión Felicidad Foundation, Doctor Yaso RD, Nature Power Foundation and Conexión RSE.You can also read: Unibe presents Uffest 2026, university festival
Also, they were in contact with the Vida Azul Foundation, Caring for those who cared for you, the Francina Hungría Foundation, and the Health Heroes Foundation, among others, contributing to publicize their causes, initiatives, and social actions for the benefit of different sectors of society. The funds raised during the 3rd Unibe Volunteer Fair will be allocated to the Adolupus Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing support, guidance, and education about lupus, both to patients living with this disease and to the general population, promoting awareness and timely accompaniment timely.
