Santo Domingo Este.- Representatives of the VBC-RD Trust and Banco BHD held a meeting at the Energy and Mining Thematic Park of Ciudad Juan Bosch with the aim of evaluating new investment alliances aimed at strengthening the integral development and well-being of the families residing in the community. The activity was led by Camel Curi Lora, executive director of the VBC-RD Trust, who presented the progress made and highlighted that “the transformation process allowed the reactivation of a territory with high potential, turning it into a self-sustaining, dynamic, and constantly growing city”.Banco BHD has financed this real estate project since 2015, which benefits Dominican families.
Since 2015, Banco BHD has been an important ally of the Ciudad Juan Bosch project, participating in the financing of RD$ 5,147 million in 19 projects, for a total of 7,096 houses built.
This community currently has 14,531 homes, which have been built in record time thanks to public-private partnerships, in which expert construction companies participate. Through the VBC-RD Trust, RD$ 3,237 million has been executed in works with own resources.“Ciudad Juan Bosch is not just a housing project, it is a complete city, with educational, health, security infrastructure, public spaces and engineering works. This meeting with BHD reaffirms the interest of the financial sector in accompanying investment initiatives with high social impact, that contribute to improving the quality of life of families and the orderly and sustainable growth of the Dominican Republic”, affirmed Curi Lora.

For Banco BHD, also participated in the visit, its president, Steven Puig; Ángela Samper, executive vice president of Retail Banking and Digital Business, Susana Reid, vice president of Infrastructure and Real Estate and Construction, and Giselle Sánchez, second vice president of Infrastructure and PIC, among other representatives of the financial institution. The meeting concluded with a tour of the La Gaviota Amphitheater, the recently inaugurated artistic and cultural space. Ciudad Juan Bosch also includes daycare centers, technical training centers, an integrated health system, and a municipal funeral home. In addition, it has installed a regulating reservoir with a capacity of 1.6 million gallons of water, guaranteeing the supply for more than 15,000 homes."Our value proposition of the BHD Financial Center has a comprehensive approach in a transversal way, which includes the creation of the trust with Fiduciaria BHD, the management of accounts with referenced collections and electronic payments; as well as the structuring and approval of interim credit, among other benefits.
