Santo Domingo. – The deputy for the 5th constituency of the PRM, Kinsberly Taveras, publicly expressed her disagreement with the lack of institutional support she received from her party during the questioning against her in 2020, when she served as Minister of Youth.

During an interview on a radio program, Taveras stated that, unlike other similar cases, such as those of the current Minister of Women Faride Raful and the former Minister of Culture Milagros Germán, she was not given the same political support by the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM).

"I would have liked my party, which knows my background, not only my political background, but also my business background, what I experienced for many years... to have supported me in 2020," the legislator stated.

Taveras faced a wave of public questioning in 2020 related to his sworn statement of assets, which eventually led to his departure from the Ministry of Youth. Although he was never formally charged, the lack of support from his political organization left aftereffects that, as he confessed, still generate discomfort.

This perception of unequal treatment has generated discomfort in some internal sectors of the PRM, according to unofficial sources.
