“Our regulatory framework establishes the need for updating and technical improvement of our tourist guides, which allows for constant monitoring so that professionals stay up-to-date in their training and in the needs of a growing, diverse, modern, and demanding tourism. The licensing of tourist guides is a process that must be continuous in the search for the constant improvement of the national tourism offer,” they expressed.

Finally, the representatives of the convening group were invited to responsibly and constructively join the initiatives for professionalization and updating of the educational curriculum through universities, INFOTEP, and specialized schools proposed by the Ministry of Tourism, as well as to comply with the obligations of continuous supervision to maintain the standards of tourist quality in the Dominican Republic.

"Only through commitment to education, technical training, and professionalization of the entire value chain will we be able to maintain and sustain the growth of the Dominican Republic as the leading destination in the insular Caribbean," they concluded.
