Jerusalem.- Israel will experience a day of national strike this Sunday, called by the families of the hostages held in Gaza, who are calling to "stop daily life" to demand that the Government reach an agreement that allows their release. The mobilization, dubbed "Israel on Pause", will begin at 07:00 local time (04:00 GMT) with gatherings at road crossings and will last throughout the day with marches, prayers and events throughout the country. The focus will be especially on Tel Aviv, where nearly a million people are expected to gather in Hostages Square, the epicenter of the protests since the beginning of the war. At 20:00 (17:00 GMT) a large demonstration is planned in front of the Israeli Army headquarters in Tel Aviv.

According to local media reports, several technology companies in the country - including Wix, HoneyBook and Fireblocks - and the Israel Bar Association will join the protest. For its part, the Histadrut, the main trade union federation, which represents some 800,000 workers in the country, reported that it will not officially join the strike, although it will support workers who decide to attend the protest after meeting with business representatives and the families of the captives.
