Santo Domingo.- In a broad offensive framed by national laws and international regulations ratified by the country, the interdiction units of the General Directorate of Migration (DGM), supported by public security forces, yesterday detained 1,707 foreigners caught without the required documentation.
The operations, within the strategic plan of the DGM to enforce the provisions of the Government and the Defense and Security Council of the State, achieved the following results: 210 Haitian nationals in an irregular situation caught in La Vega, 186 in Santo Domingo, 120 in the East, 109 in Dajabón and 86 in San Francisco de Macorís.
