Multi-use roofing delivered in Las Guáranas, Duarte province

Duarte. - The Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña, and the Minister of Sports, Kelvin Cruz, delivered the Las Guáranas Multipurpose Techado, in the municipality of the same name.

The investment in this sports construction was 29,937,355 pesos.

The work is part of the project to build sports facilities (multi-purpose) throughout the country, arranged by the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, in coordination with the Ministry of Sports, headed by Kelvin Cruz.

Raquel Peña assured that each delivered sports space represents "an open door to dreams, opportunities, and integral development."

Peña also said that it is a clear example of the Government's commitment, under the vision of President Luis Abinader, to raise the quality of life in each locality of the Dominican Republic through sports, recreation and the promotion of values.

Cruz highlighted the usefulness of the work and President Luis Abinader's commitment to the municipality of Las Guaranas. "Today, a work destined to be used by young people, women, children and adolescents is delivered to the community, which, in addition to offering spaces for basketball and volleyball, becomes a space for celebrations such as weddings, birthdays and all kinds of meetings."

Lenín Campos, mayor of Las Guáranas, and Ana Xiomara Cortés, provincial governor, thanked this work and others recently completed by the Government.

The Las Guáranas Multipurpose Roofing located on Independencia Avenue in the Las Guáranas sector. It has a construction area of 1,150 square meters, in which the play area, the multipurpose hall, the stands, mixed bathrooms and outdoor areas have been intervened.

The work carried out also includes the construction of metal structures, general painting, supply and installation of suspended synthetic surface in the play area; supply and installation of two supports and their FIBA boards; supply and installation of volleyball posts and nets; construction of a perimeter wall in concrete blocks and chain-link mesh, and supply and installation of general electrical installations.
