Toros del Este bring Joe Corbett back to reinforce the bullpen

LA ROMANA.- One of the best relievers from last season will be back, after the Toros del Este announced that reliever Joe Corbett will return for the 2025-26 season. “He is a premium reliever returning home, coming to significantly strengthen the bullpen. He is called to be one of the main late-game arms for the team from the first day of the season,” said Jesús Mejía at the time of making the announcement.

This summer, the Oklahoma City native stood out in Mexico with the Leones de Yucatán, striking out 23 in 21.1 innings, where he was hit 21 hits and gave 7 walks, with an ERA of 4.64 in the Mexican offensive league, where the collective earned run average was 6.19. Corbett joins the left-handed Matt Dermody and also right-handed starter Jaime Barria as reinforcements announced by the Toros del Este. They will be joining a renewed roster that includes the starters Sandberg Pimentel and Ronald Guzman, the left-handers José Manuel Fernández and Joely Rodríguez, and the right-handers Jesús Liranzo, Yohan Ramírez and Janser Lara, acquired from free agency.
