Traffic accident reported on Winston Churchill Ave. with Roberto Pastoriza

Santo Domingo. - Early this Friday around 12:45 AM, a traffic accident was recorded at the intersection of Winston Churchill Avenue with Roberto Pastoriza Street, in the National District of Santo Domingo. The incident involved a red jeep and a black double-cab pickup truck, which collided head-on.

According to witnesses at the scene, the accident occurred when the truck allegedly crossed the intersection ignoring the red light, impacting the SUV, which spun several times after the crash. According to reports, there were three occupants in the SUV, while in the double cab truck, only the driver was present, who was unharmed.

Fortunately, no fatalities were reported. Those involved suffered minor injuries and wounds, according to initial reports from witnesses and members of the organizations present at the scene.

Units of the National Police, patrols of the General Directorate of Traffic and Ground Transportation Safety (DIGESETT), as well as medical personnel from the National Emergency System 9-1-1, went to the scene of the accident, who provided assistance to those affected.

The authorities initiated the investigation process to determine responsibilities and validate the background that caused the traffic accident.
