All set for the exaltation of 14 athletes in Martial Arts

Santo Domingo. The Martial Arts Hall of Fame of the Dominican Republic (SAFAMRD) declared that everything is ready for this Sunday, November 30, to hold the XIV Ceremonial where about 14 athletes will receive the "Bath of Immortality" in a solemn act to be held in the Hall of Fame of the Olympic Center, at 10:00 in the morning.

The honorary president will be the outstanding television entrepreneur and sportsman, Fernando Hasbún, and the XIV Ceremonial will have a special dedication to Maestro Miguel Peña, a man with a great career in Martial Arts. The SAFAMRD Standing Committee has indicated that, after several months of work, it is very pleased to welcome new members to the organization. The new athletes who will enter the Martial Arts Hall of Fame of the Dominican Republic (SAFAMRD) are Leidi Germán, Ekers E. Raposo, Félix Lebrón, in Judo, and a recognition will be made to César Langa, in Judo, for his long career. Also Abraham Tabar in Ju-Jitsu, Miguel Abreu (Kung fu) and in the sport of Karate, were selected Alberto Moreta Mancebo, Alcibíades Peña Escalante and Edwin Beltré. Also Juan Raúl Suazo Melenciano, in Kung Fu, Alejandro Serrallés, in Ju-Jitsu, José R. Del Rosario, in Kung Fu; José Manuel Silverio, Jorge Amauri Guerrero, in Tae Kwon Do, as well as Héctor Pilier, as a promoter in Tae Kwon Do, from La Romana. Recognitions will be given to Arelis Brito, the Sabana Grande de Boyá School, and the Los Cachorros Sports and Cultural Club.
