Minister Teresa Mera stated that these figures "reaffirm the positive impact this tournament had on the country and strengthen Peru's image as a destination with the potential to host major international sporting events."

Tourists spent an average of $1,044

The report Impact Assessment of the 2025 Copa Libertadores Final indicates that more than 48,000 foreign visitors and 3,000 Peruvians attended the event, mostly men (88%) with an average age of 38 years.

Although the bulk of the tourists came from Brazil (94%), fans also arrived from countries such as Colombia, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, and the United States.
The average spending per visitor was $1,044, above the $760 recorded during the 2019 final, also held in Lima.

The increase is attributed to the fact that 28% of international tourists extended their stay to visit other Peruvian destinations, a figure higher than the 19% recorded in 2019.

Cusco and Paracas, the preferred destinations

Most visitors took advantage of their trip to visit Cusco (77%) and the Ica region (28%), where they toured the Paracas Bay and the Nazca Lines. The study also details that for 34% of the attendees it was not their first time in Peru, and 18% had already been present at the 2019 Libertadores final. Regarding accommodation, 44% opted for hotels, while 29% used platforms like Airbnb.

Flamengo was crowned champion

The final was played on November 29 at the Estadio Monumental in Lima and ended with a 1-0 victory for Flamengo thanks to a goal by Danilo, which gave the Brazilian club its fourth Copa Libertadores title.
