At least 26 flights were canceled from AILA due to a storm in New York

An intense snowstorm affecting New York City and much of the northeastern United States since the early hours of this Friday has caused the cancellation of at least 26 commercial flights to and from Las Américas International Airport-José Francisco Peña Gómez (AILA), impacting hundreds of passengers in the peak travel season after the Christmas holidays. According to information obtained at the airport terminal, the canceled flights had as their main destinations New York, Boston, and Newark, in the state of New Jersey. Most of the suspensions correspond to the airline JetBlue, with a total of 24 canceled flights, while at least one Delta Airlines flight was also affected by adverse weather conditions.
