To commit the act, the processed person used a firearm, which they carried and used illegally. According to information from the Public Ministry, Díaz was traveling aboard a vehicle in the company of other men. The aforementioned vehicle blocked the exit of another in which Caba Domínguez was, who, faced with the situation, got out of the car, a circumstance that was taken advantage of by the defendant to inflict the injuries. In the investigation of the facts, the Prosecutor's Office said that it collected the videos from several surveillance cameras, managing to reconstruct the entire route taken by the accused, before arriving and intercepting the deceased. The Public Ministry, based on the audiovisual evidence obtained, and the testimony of the witnesses, verified that, in addition to fleeing the scene of the incident, the accused attempted to evade responsibility and hide the vehicle in which he was traveling. This material evidence was obtained by the Santiago Prosecutor's Office, which managed to collect the two shell casings from the weapon used by Díaz to commit the crime inside the vehicle.
