Madrid, Spain. – The Santo Domingo Este City Council (ASDE) announced an investment projection exceeding RD$5,000 million, aimed at strengthening urban development and positioning the municipality as a new tourist destination in the country, reported its mayor Dio Astacio during his participation in the International Tourism Fair (FITUR). In that sense, he highlighted that Santo Domingo Este has become one of the safest municipalities in the country, a key element to attract investments and guarantee a reliable experience for tourists, which strengthens the confidence of the private sector. During FITUR, the mayor also reported that he held meetings with potential international investors, interested in developing tourism and real estate projects in the area, which opens up new opportunities for economic growth and job creation. The ASDE's participation in the international fair is part of a strategy aimed at internationalizing the image of the municipality, attracting foreign capital, and diversifying the tourism offer beyond the traditional destinations of the Dominican Republic.
