Madrid. – Turkish footballer Arda Güler publicly denied being a victim of workplace harassment at Real Madrid, after his compatriot Serhat Pekmezci claimed in a Turkish media outlet that the player was facing internal difficulties in the locker room.

Through a message posted on his official Instagram account, Güler expressed his regret for the statements of the former head of scouting, whom he recognized as an important person in the beginning of his career. However, he made it clear that his experience in the merengue team has been positive from day one. "Since my arrival, I have received the support and affection of everyone at the club. I have always considered this place as a family. I am very proud to wear this shirt and I want to defend this badge for many years," said the young midfielder. The Turkish international also highlighted the strength of the group and said he was honored to share a locker room with his teammates, while asking that no credit be given to comments or versions that, according to him, do not reflect the reality that exists within the institution. Güler's statements came after Pekmezci stated in the Turkish media 'Sports Digitale' that the player was being subjected to internal pressure from some members of the squad, pointing out alleged conflicts arising from egos within the team.
