Washington.- The White House's national security advisor, Stephen Miller, said this Wednesday that the U.S. has the capacity to block Iran's economy "indefinitely," after the armed forces blocked the Islamic republic's ports this week as a pressure measure amid the two-week ceasefire agreement.
"We have the ability to block them indefinitely if Iran chooses the wrong path," Miller affirmed when asked about the measures taken by the administration of US President Donald Trump in the Middle East in an interview with Fox News.
Miller detailed that this embargo on Iranian ports is generating "an economic crisis and chaos", which in his opinion they will not be able to sustain for long.
Miller's statements came 24 hours after the United States Central Command (Centcom) claimed to have completely blocked Iran's ports, a measure that the president anticipated after the failed negotiations in Islamabad over the weekend.
