Trump suggests partnering with Iran to extract uranium and says Hormuz is open

Washington.- United States President Donald Trump assured this Friday that the Strait of Hormuz is open for the passage of trade and raised the possibility of entering Iran to extract enriched uranium with excavators, associating with the Islamic republic. "Iran has just announced that the Strait of Hormuz is fully open and ready," Trump said during a speech in Arizona, at an event for the conservative organization Turning Point. U.S. to maintain blockade in Hormuz

Trump again criticized NATO, saying that they recently offered him help for the war in Iran and said that "he needed it two months ago and not now". Subsequently, the Republican reiterated that the blockade that the US armed forces maintain in front of Iranian ports will remain active until a "100%" agreement is signed. For its part, Iran announced this Friday that the Strait of Hormuz will remain "fully open" until the end of the ceasefire with the United States, next Wednesday, as a result of the beginning of the truce in Lebanon announced on Thursday. At the beginning of the day, Trump responded to local media that face-to-face conversations to reach an agreement could happen this weekend. The conflict between the United States and Iran has been going on for weeks with attacks in the Persian Gulf, before leading to a temporary ceasefire still in effect.
