Haitian arrested after attacking Migration agent with a machete

Baní, Peravia. – The General Directorate of Migration (DGM) reported the arrest of an undocumented Haitian citizen, identified as Junior Moliere, accused of injuring an agent with a machete during an operation in the Arroyo Hondo sector. The incident occurred on Altagracia Street #21, where the foreigner grabbed a bladed weapon in a building under construction and attacked the uniformed officer, causing a wound to his back. The officer was taken to Villa Fundación Hospital and is out of danger. The aggressor was immediately arrested and remains in custody. The DGM indicated that an investigation into the case was opened and reiterated that its agents will continue to perform their duties in defense of citizen security and national sovereignty.
