Santo Domingo.- The Office for Transportation Reorganization (OPRET) reported this Saturday that dynamic train tests are underway on the new Line 2C of the Santo Domingo Metro, also known as the Los Alcarrizos Metro.
The tests began more than ten days ago in the underground section, and since this week they are also being carried out on the viaduct, at low speed, at different times of the day and night.

During this technical process, the trains move in a controlled manner, with stops, advances and reverses, gradually evaluating the electrical, mechanical and control systems. In addition, simulated internal weight will be incorporated to replicate real operating conditions, the agency said in a note. The circulation speed will gradually increase in the coming weeks, as part of the validation protocol. In September, a special day of dynamic tests will be held, which will be attended by President Luis Abinader, and in which the national press will be invited. The OPRET reaffirmed its commitment to the development of a modern, safe, and efficient transportation system for all Dominicans, and will continue to inform the population about each step of this process
