According to the preliminary report, the members of this gang operated under a previously planned scheme. One or two members would request taxi services through digital applications and, once on board, would direct the driver to a specific point where other accomplices were waiting. In that place, they would corner the victim, force them to get out of the vehicle, and take them to a house, where they were beaten and threatened with death while being stripped of cash, cell phones, bank cards, and other valuables. During the arrest, authorities seized from Heredia a non-lethal Glock pistol, black in color, as well as several cell phones. In the same operation, two other men were arrested, whose identities are being kept confidential for investigation purposes. Authorities are actively searching for fugitives Danny Mercedes de la Cruz, Samuel Alcántara Amparo (a) "Chocolate" and Wilson Amparo de Paula (a) "Nano", identified as members of the same criminal structure. The detainees, along with the seized items, were placed under the control of the Public Ministry for the corresponding legal purposes.
